Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking?
I made this little collage at the end of the day yesterday, as part of ArtSpark Theatre's illustration challenge. Susan Sanford, who writes ArtSpark Theatre, posted the following photograph: and challenged readers to alter it. I created my collage with a graphite drawing on vellum sewn together with a few loose bits I found around my studio. I was having a nice chat with Deb while I made it, so it ended up becoming a picture about camaraderie.

There's a goofy old song this is reminding me of...It is delightful.
I really like this a lot. Did you print out the photo on vellum/glassine, or did you copy it by hand onto that translucent paper? However you did it, I like that the figures in the photo seem to echo the brushwork in the landscape. It's very cool. I wonder what they ARE thinking...
Thanks to both of you. Bungy32, I copied the drawing by hand in pencil, which is also why the likeness is just so-so;)
I like what you've done.....I've been working on expanding past simple images. Hope I can get there.
Cheers!
The image has truly become a story. Lovely, plaintive in a way.
What a wonderful thing. It reminds me of the landscape round here, too, in Yorkshire.
Sooooo nice!!! :D
